Property Rewire

Rewiring your property can be one of the most disruptive tasks a property owner will encounter while owning a property. Replacing all wiring in all rooms of the property normally involves lifting floors and chasing walls to conceal cables. It is recommended that the wiring in a property is replaced every 25 years, as to stop the deterioration of the copper in the cable and then causing a dangerous installation, in turn could result in fires or electric shocks.

When we rewire your property, you can be rest assured our installations are installed to provide a safe, problem free, modern electrical environment in your property for the next 25 years plus.

When Custom Build Solutions arrive at your property, we will prepare the site for work to be carried out, we then plan our cable routes and mark out all new positions of sockets, switches, and lights. We then will chase out walls and lift floors to conceal cables. When all cables have been run into position, we will cover with metallic capping giving them extra protection and keeping them looking neat and tidy. We will then terminate all cables into there final positions installing sockets, switches, lights, and anything else that has been agreed. Then we will test and reinstate power to the installation.

Prepare for the Dust

Brickwork and lach plaster in older style properties will create a lot of mess/dust when cutting into it. We use the appropriate tools for the task in hand, however it will never be able to stop all the dust created when cutting into wall and lifting floors. Old carpets once lifted may not go back down the same as the underlay has perished, however we will do our best to lay it back as we found it. Floorboards don’t always come up easily, we use appropriate tools to ensure the best cuts are made to minimise damage. We understand that potentially you may wish to re-sand your floorboards. When we remove the floorboard, we then route our cables either by boring holes in the joist or notching a small part from the timber and replacing with a metal safe plate.
